About Dr Naresh Munot

Dr. Naresh Munot is a Senior Interventional Cardiologist and Lead Cardiologist at Apollo Hospitals, Pune, with over 10 years of specialized experience in diagnosing and treating heart conditions. He is also the Director of Munot Heart Care and Research Centre, Pune Camp, where he provides world-class cardiac care to patients from across Maharashtra and beyond.

Dr. Munot is trained in the full spectrum of modern heart procedures, including radial angiography (a safer, minimally invasive method of angiography), complex angioplasties (opening blocked heart arteries with stents), pacemaker implantation, heart hole closures, non surgical heart valve repairs and replacements (TAVI) (non-surgical replacement of the aortic valve — a breakthrough procedure for high-risk patients who cannot undergo open-heart surgery). He also manages heart rhythm disorders through Electrophysiology (EP) studies and ablation procedures, as well as advanced heart failure management including mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation

Educated at premier institutions including BJ Government Medical College, Pune, and Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Munot holds DM Cardiology, MD Medicine, and MBBS degrees, along with international credentials — MRCP (UK) from the Royal College of Physicians, London, and FCCP (USA) from the American College of Physicians. He is a recipient of the internationally acclaimed Global Physician Scholar Award 2023 from the American College of Physicians at San Diego, and has trained at the University of Pennsylvania, USA in Advanced Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support.
